Terms & Conditions

Effective Date: January 1, 2024

These Terms and Conditions govern the plumbing services provided by Plombier Gatineau (hereinafter "we," "us," or "Company") to customers (hereinafter "you" or "Customer").

1. Services

1 Service Agreement

By requesting and accepting our plumbing services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. Services are provided based on verbal or written agreements between you and our representatives.

2 Scope of Work

The scope of work will be defined and agreed upon before services begin. Any changes to the scope must be approved by both parties and may result in adjusted pricing.

3 Emergency Services

Emergency services are available 24/7. Emergency service rates may differ from standard rates and will be communicated before work begins.

2. Pricing & Payment

1 Estimates

We provide free estimates for most jobs. Estimates are based on information available at the time and may be adjusted if conditions differ from what was initially assessed.

2 Pricing

All pricing will be provided in writing or verbally before work begins. The quoted price includes labor and materials unless otherwise specified.

3 Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of services unless other arrangements have been made. We accept:

• Cash
• Cheque
• Visa
• Mastercard
• E-transfer

4 Financing

Financing options may be available for larger projects. Terms and conditions for financing are separate from these Terms.

3. Warranties

1 Workmanship Warranty

We warrant our workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of service. If a problem arises due to our workmanship within this period, we will correct it at no additional charge.

2 Parts & Materials

Parts and materials carry manufacturer warranties, which vary by product. We will assist in warranty claims for parts we have installed.

3 Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, or unauthorized modifications
• Normal wear and tear
• Issues arising from pre-existing conditions not addressed in our service
• Damage from events beyond our control (flooding, freezing, etc.)

4. Liability

1 Insurance

Plombier Gatineau is fully insured for liability and workers' compensation. Our insurance covers damage to your property caused by our negligence during service.

2 Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of correcting any defective workmanship or, at our option, refunding the amount paid for the defective service. We are not liable for consequential, incidental, or indirect damages.

3 Pre-Existing Conditions

We are not responsible for pre-existing conditions in your plumbing system that are discovered during or after our service. We will inform you of any such conditions we observe.

5. Customer Responsibilities

1 Access

You agree to provide reasonable access to the work area and to ensure a safe working environment for our technicians.

2 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate information about the plumbing issue and any relevant history of your plumbing system.

3 Permits

Where permits are required, we will advise you. Permit costs are typically the customer's responsibility unless otherwise agreed.

6. Cancellation

1 Cancellation by Customer

You may cancel a scheduled appointment without charge if you provide at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less notice may incur a service call fee.

2 Cancellation by Company

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule appointments due to emergencies, weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.

7. Licensing & Credentials

1 License

Plombier Gatineau holds RBQ License #5739-3597-01, issued by the Régie du bâtiment du Québec.

2 Professional Membership

We are members of the CMMTQ (Corporation des maîtres mécaniciens en tuyauterie du Québec).

8. Privacy

1 Information Collection

We collect personal information necessary to provide services, including name, address, phone number, and payment information.

2 Information Use

Your information is used only for providing services, processing payments, and communicating about your service.

3 Information Protection

We protect your personal information and do not sell or share it with third parties except as necessary to provide services or as required by law.

9. Disputes

1 Resolution

We are committed to resolving any disputes fairly and promptly. Please contact us directly with any concerns.

2 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada.
