Explain how the property is used
Tell the person arranging the work whether the Val-des-Monts property is occupied year-round, seasonally or intermittently. Explain whether the request is planned maintenance, opening or closing work, a renovation or an existing problem.
Describe the actual water source and wastewater arrangement if known. Seasonal use alone does not identify the equipment or the work required.
Gather the existing instructions
Have records of previous opening, closing and repair work available, along with instructions for the equipment installed. Identify any pump, tank, heater or treatment equipment separately.
Report what has already been done and by whom, if known. Do not assume that a generic winterization checklist covers every appliance or connection at the property.
Coordinate access before travel
Provide the full address, access contact and any known restrictions. Confirm availability and the proposed scope before travelling to meet an appointment. If someone else will provide access, make that arrangement clear.
The main Val-des-Monts page describes local services. This checklist addresses the records and coordination needed for a seasonal property, without prescribing a universal opening procedure or claiming that all local homes use the same water system.
